Job Title: Field Engineer

Working Hours: 07:45 - 17:30 (some flexibility on working hours needed, Overtime will be paid outside these hours, Overtime is paid at 20.00ph for anything worked past 17:30pm, on approval from the end client)

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Depot Location: Bristol- Postcode to be confirmed upon interest of Job. ( Depot location covers around 300 miles- some days you will travel quite far, but all jobs will group to the same area for the days).

Day Rate: 140 Per day

This position will be needed initially for up to 6 months, but likely to exceed this.

Other: Short wheelbase van will be provided, fuel costs/parking expenses- you will be provided with a Fuelcard to use for all expenses which is paid for directly by the customer- you must submit all receipts to the customer via Email ( this email address will provided upon start of the project, or these will be charged back to you.

Payment Terms: Weekly, 2 weeks in arrears on Friday's working through an Umbrella company.

Requirements:

Full UK MANUAL Driving License with no points

Able to work Monday - Friday

Right to Work in the UK

Relevant IT Experience

Able to sustain yourself financially until your first pay day

Android phone (for job app)

Job Description:

You will be required to attend various customer sites within your specified depot area. The work includes repairing, replacing and installing various pieces of hardware across EPOS, laptops, desktops, printers, chip and pin machines and ATM machines.

Your day will start at 07:45 in the depot, where you will locate your parts for the day and load your van up, cross referencing the job scheduling app we use. From there you will then head out to your first site and attend/complete the jobs according to the job schedule. Upon completion of all scheduled jobs, you will then return to the depot to drop off any old equipment as required.

Please note that this job does involve a lot of driving between sites, up to and over 300 miles and it is a physical job.

Training is provided in the form of buddy training in which you will go out with another engineer for 2 days to understand the process and get some hands-on experience. Once the buddy training is complete, you will go out on your own in the van provided. We do also run Brother Accredited printer training which you will be booked onto when the next training date is scheduled, this will give you a Brother Certification. PLEASE NOTE TRAINING DAYS WILL ONLY BE PAID IF YOU COMPLETE AT LEAST 1 MONTH OF WORKS FOR THE CUSTOMER AFTER THE TRAINING HAS BEEN COMPLETED. IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS THE TRAINING DAYS WILL NOT BE PAID AND DEDUCTED FROM YOUR FINAL PAY CHECK AND ONLY YOUR TRAVEL EXPENSES ( IF PRE-APPROVED BY THE ACCOUNTS TEAM) WILL BE RE-CLAIMABLE)
